Each Grey Oak Workshop box is individually crafted from carefully chosen hardwoods, selected not only for their beauty but for the character they will develop over time. Every detail is considered, from the proportions and timber combinations to the way the lid feels in the hand.
Wherever possible, the lid and base are resawn from the same board, creating a subtle relationship between the top and underside of the piece. Interiors are lined with solid timber rather than plywood, and every box is designed to accommodate the natural movement of wood, ensuring it can be enjoyed for generations.
Whether intended for jewellery, letters, photographs or family heirlooms, every box is made to become part of the story it protects.
